How it works
One request, one conversation, a shutter installer in your city.
- 1
You tell us what the shutters need
A new set for the whole house, a shutter that will not close, a lost key, a storm close-up, a tune-up. Call, chat or send the form.
- 2
We find the installer
We connect you with a vetted, independent accordion shutter installer covering your city and book a window that suits you, then you get a call back to confirm it.
- 3
They measure and look
The estimate is free. The installer measures the openings, checks the tracks, blades and locks, and says plainly what is needed and which products carry the approval your county requires.
- 4
You agree the price
Nothing is ordered or started until you have the price and you say yes. For a new install or a replacement, the installer pulls the permit and your building department inspects the finished work.
Who does the work
One Call Accordion Shutters is a referral and scheduling service for Miami-Dade, Broward and Palm Beach counties. We connect you with an independent local shutter installer; we are not the contractor and not a party to your agreement with them. The installer alone is responsible for the work, for holding whatever licence Florida and your county require, and for pulling any permit the job needs. Product approvals (a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance or a Florida Product Approval) belong to the product; the permit and the inspection belong to your building department.
One Call Accordion Shutters does not quote prices and does not publish them, because the price depends on the openings, the product and your home. All of that is decided by measuring the openings, and the installer does that for free.
Approvals, permits and inspections
Miami-Dade and Broward are Florida's High-Velocity Hurricane Zone, where accordion shutters carry a Miami-Dade Notice of Acceptance for the product. Palm Beach is outside the zone and accepts a Florida Product Approval. In all three counties a new install or a replacement is permitted work: the installer pulls the permit, installs to the product's approval, and the building department inspects. The approval belongs to the product and the inspection to the building department; the installer's job is to quote approved products and install them the way the approval describes.
What helps when you send the request
- Your street address and city, so the right installer is matched.
- What the shutters need, in your own words. A photo of the problem helps.
- How many openings, and roughly their sizes, for a new install or a replacement.
- Your HOA or condo rules on shutters and colour, if any.
- The days and times that suit you.
